The federal election pool is an opportunity for political junkies to put some money on their predictions. The buy-in is $10.00, and in previous years the winner has taken home between $100.00 – $150.00.
The rules are as follows:
1. The entry fee for the pool is $10. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, or through this blog (which reduces the size of the pool slightly because of the credit card processing fee).
2. Attached are the 15 questions that comprise the pool. The person who answers the most questions correctly wins, and it is winner(s) takes all. Ten of the questions are British Columbia riding predictions. The remaining 5 questions are more national in focus. There is also a tie-breaking question should more than one person get the most points.
(If you have not received an e-mail from me and are accessing the pool directly from the blog then the only way to download the PDF is to pay first.)
3. The form must be completed and submitted to me by 11:59pm, October 4, 2015, which is two weeks before the election. Payment must be made by the same date. The reason that I am making the deadline earlier this year than in previous years is because of the recent proliferation of websites which monitor and track riding specific polling.
4. I will send out an Excel spreadsheet with everyone’s answers shortly after the deadline. If you want to use a pseudonym please let me know.
Please feel free of course to forward this to anyone who you think may be interested.
